Meet the Captain

Captain Willie was born and raised in Puerto Rico, where he was lucky enough to enjoy year-round fishing, snorkeling, and surfing. He decided to turn his passion for the water into a career, and joined the U.S. Coast Guard. As a Boatswain’s Mate, he saved and assisted countless lives and enforced federal boating laws along the east coast of the United States and throughout the Caribbean and South America. After leaving the Coast Guard, he served as the First Officer aboard cruise ships navigating the inland waterways. Now he is living out his dream as the captain of his own boat, and enjoys promoting everything the Keys ecosystem has to offer. Captain Willie holds a 200-ton Masters License and a PADI Open Water Diver certification. Rest assured that you and your experience with Captain Willie will be safe and fun.
